Purpose In Action

Brandon R. Scarborough is an author, entrepreneur, nonprofit founder, and speaker whose work connects purpose, leadership, and community impact. As the founder of Dreams Academy, he brings firsthand experience in mentorship, education, and building a vision from the ground up.

In 2016, Brandon founded Dreams Academy, located in Akron, Ohio, as a mentoring organization to help young people discover their potential through meaningful relationships and opportunities. That vision has grown to include Kings and Queens Academy mentoring programs and a private K–4 school for boys focused on education, character, accountability, leadership, and discipline. His experience building and leading this work grounds his books in the challenges, conversations, and decisions he has faced firsthand.

He is the author of Talking Points: A Conversation Guide to Cultivate & Connect with Young Black Men and Grit, Game, and Giving Back, a toolkit for aspiring nonprofit leaders. His books encourage meaningful conversations and offer practical guidance for people committed to making a difference.

Brandon is available for speaking engagements, workshops, collaborations, and media interviews on education, leadership, nonprofit entrepreneurship, mentorship, and turning purpose into action.
